Military Time
Military Time also known as the 24-hour clock, is a timekeeping system used by the military and some other organizations worldwide.
Unlike the 12-hour clock used in everyday life, military time runs on a 24-hour cycle, with the first hour of the day starting at 00:00 (midnight) and the last hour of the day ending at 23:59 (11:59 PM).
In military time, each hour is represented by a two-digit number from 00 to 23.
The first two digits indicate the hour, while the last two digits represent the minutes. For example:
12:00 AM (midnight) is represented as 00:00 in military time.
9:30 AM is represented as 09:30 in military time.
1:45 PM is represented as 13:45 in military time.
10:00 PM is represented as 22:00 in military time.
Using military time eliminates the need for AM and PM designations and reduces ambiguity when referring to specific times.
It is commonly used in military operations, aviation, international communication, and certain professions where precise timekeeping is essential.
